Current Food Pantry Programs

The food pantry has the following programs:

The Food Shoppe:
People come to the pantry for their food on Tuesdays and Thrusdays from Noon-3pm. Also the third Saturday of the month 9am-12pm SALEM RESIDENTS LOW INCOME.

The Moving Market:
Emergency Delivery Service, for disabled and/or elderly individuals who are homebound and have no one else to come to the pantry to pick up their food. FOR NORTH SHORE ELDERLY, DISABLED OR DISADVANTAGED. Please call the pantry on Tuesdays or Thursdays for delivery.

Babies with Blues:
We service children with disabilities, terminal illness, mental or physical challenges, or are in extreme poverty.

KraftyKids Klub:
9-12 year olds (6 children per 6 week session) Every Thursday after school 3pm-6pm. Meal provided. Fine arts and crafts taught by Craft Genuis Jean Gastonguay Oct-May.

Fun on the Run:
A summer program which provides field trips to local attractions for 10 children per trip during the summer school vacation. Lunch and snacks provided.

Santa's Visit:
Each child has a picture with Santa and receives a small gift.

Easter Bunny Visit:
The Easter Bunny arrives with baskets and candy for 150 children.

Professor Schoolback:
A small back to school program for approximately 25 students. Backpacks and school supplies provided.

St. Joseph's Food Pantry has a small pharmacy program depending on funding.
